Paiphi Media ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Family Tree mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience when using our App.

This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with your use of the App, specifically for publication on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

1. Information We Collect and Store

Our App is designed to protect your privacy by keeping your data on your device. We categorize the information handled by the App into two areas:

A. Data Entered by You (Stored Locally Only)

When you use the App to build your family tree, you may enter personal information about yourself and your family members, including:

• Full Names
• Genders and Marital Status
• Birthdates and Anniversary Dates
• Phone Numbers and Locations/Cities
• Biographical Notes and Photos

All of this data is stored strictly in your device's local storage (such as LocalStorage or local database system). We do not host servers that store this data, and we cannot access, view, or modify this information under any circumstances.

B. Automatically Collected Information (Third-Party SDKs)

To support the app and display ads, we use third-party services. These services may collect certain information automatically when you use the App:

• Device Information: We may detect your operating system version, device model, and platform (Android or iOS) using local APIs to optimize layout performance and initialize services.
• Advertising Identifiers: Third-party ad networks may access your device's advertising identifier (such as the Google Advertising ID or iOS IDFA) to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.

2. Third-Party Service Providers

We show advertisements in the App using Google AdMob to keep the App free to use. Google AdMob may collect and process data in accordance with their privacy policies.

Depending on your device settings, AdMob may use device identifiers to personalize ads. You can manage ad personalization settings directly through your device's system settings (e.g., Google Settings -> Ads on Android, or Settings -> Privacy on iOS).

3. Device Permissions Used

To provide all features of the App, the App requests or utilizes the following device capabilities:

• Camera Access: Used to capture new profile photos for family members within the App. Images are processed locally and stored on your device.
• Photo Library/Gallery Access: Used to select existing photos from your device to use as profile photos for family members.
• App Tracking Authorization (iOS IDFA): Used to request consent to access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to serve personalized ads via Google AdMob. If you decline, tracking is fully disabled and only non-personalized ads are shown.
• Filesystem/Storage Access: Used to export your family tree data as a backup JSON file to your device's local documents folder, or to import existing backup files into the App. We do not access other files on your device.
• Share Sheets: Used to share exported backup files with other applications or devices at your explicit command.
• Network Access: Used by Google AdMob to download and render advertisements.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Since your family tree data is stored entirely on your device, you have complete control over its retention and deletion:

• You can delete individual family members or clear specific records within the App at any time.
• You can completely wipe all family tree data by using the Reset Tree option in the App Settings.
• Uninstalling the App from your device will automatically delete all locally stored family tree data. *Note: Exported JSON backup files saved to your device's Documents directory must be deleted manually from your file manager.*

5. Children's Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Since all input data is stored locally on the device, we do not have a database of any users. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided personal information on their device, please use the "Reset Tree" option in the App Settings to clear that data.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
